The playroom



So Madeliene and Alexarya are becoming besties and worsties. We have had a bunch of play dates the past few days and the girls are learning to relate to each other. There seems to be a lot of "mine"ing and some pushing and lots of crying. Kelly and I just kind of lay low and let them work it out for the most part, or until it gets out of hand. I hope some day soon the girls learn the joy of sharing. They were spotted holding hands yesterday ;-) so maybe sooner than later.

Yoga Update



Mommy and me Yoga (Tuesdays at 11am in the clubhouse) is apparently the place to be. There were tons of new moms there with little ones. Alexarya was the oldest one there by about a year.
Seeing those moms with their infants all laying down and cooing brought me back. Our kiddies are getting so big, all running around, some even talking.. Boy time sure flies.

Art in the Park Update






Update
we went to art in the park on Wed at 10. It was entertaining but I think Alexarya was a bit too young to really appreciate what was going on. I made her a pasta necklace and she spent some time chasing pigeons. I think it might be better to do next summer when she's 2 1/2.

Swim Class Update


Okay so we are on for Friday at 2pm at the pool at building 25. As it turns out there aren't a lot of mommies that are actually from building 25 who are coming and we are suppose to have only 2 guests per resident at the pool. I spoke to one of the life guards yesterday and I don't think it will be a problem but just in case I would appreciate if some of the moms (which ever ones can) could please show up a little early so we don't have a mob of mommies and stroller showing up all at the same time. Also, if you have a friend that lives in 25 it would be great if you could borrow their pool pass just for the first class so that we are all official and then I'm sure the lifeguard won't ID us twice.

Art in the Park


Wednesdays and Mondays

Hosted by the city of Hoboken, Art in the Park is a morning of creative activity for toddlers to 6 year-olds. It's free to attend, but children must be accompanied by guardian. Dress child accordingly to avoid staining clothes.

The 2009 summer schedule is:

Mondays in Pier A Park at Sinatra Drive and First Street. 10am-12pm

Wednesdays in Elysian Park, Hudson St. between 10th & 11th Sts. 10am-12pm

June 24 and 29
July 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29

In case of rain, Monday classes will be held at Multi-Center Gym at 2nd & Grand streets. Wednesday classes will be canceled in the event of rain.

HAPPY 4TH of JULY


Well if you haven't already heard West New York will be the place to be tomorrow. For the first (and maybe the last) time ever the 4th of July fireworks show will take place right here outside our very own windows. Seems it is the 400th Anniversary of the discovery of the Henry Hudson. YEAH!!!! Very exciting. As you may already know River Road will be closed at 6pm till midnight to allow for emergency vehicles to get through and the ferry will stop running here at 4:30 and won't resume until 11:30, so plan on staying put for the whole day. As all of your guest will be held hostage for the entire day chose them wisely.. ;-) We are having 20 people over. OMG. Justyn LOVES 4th of July and fireworks so he really wanted to go all out. He was too excited to sleep last night. (He is too adorable) So, if you are anywhere near our place tomorrow please feel free to stop in and say "hi". I'm sure we will be down by the pool as well so we may see you there, however, if we don't run into you, ENJOY YOUR 4TH... and remember today we should celebrate our freedom. We are quite fortunate people to live in a place where we are free to pursue our happiness without much restriction. So pursuit and rejoice.
